The Isanti County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies responded to the crash around 4 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 65 and 305th Avenue NE in Isanti Township. According to preliminary findings from the Minnesota State Patrol, a Ford F150 traveling northbound crossed the median and struck a southbound Toyota Corolla.
The driver of the Corolla, identified as 69-year-old Martin Zaworski of Rush City, sustained critical injuries in the crash. He was transported to Mercy Hospital for treatment. Authorities noted that Zaworski was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.
Despite medical efforts, the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed that Zaworski died from his injuries. The Minnesota State Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash to determine contributing factors or potential causes.
